Military/Intelligence Defense

As a former Air Force pilot and current Subcommittee Chairman in House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I understand that we live in a truly dangerous world.

I believe that the primary responsibility of the federal government is “to provide for the common defense.”

Because it is a dangerous world, we ask a lot of our military. We owe it to them to provide these brave men and women the necessary equipment, training, and resources they need to keep us safe.

With Present Trump’s new military plan, we would build the Navy’s fleet and boost our missile defense counter to threats from North Korea and Iran. I believe this program will better protect our country from antagonistic behavior abroad.

Furthermore, we need to improve our intelligence defense, especially as we rely more on technology and global communication. We need to not only improve our access to gaining insight on terrorist activity, but also protect our own private servers from foreign threats and unauthorized personnel accessing classified information.

I have dedicated my life to fighting for our freedoms. Nothing I could do is more important. I will never quit in this fight.
